There has been some nonsense argument from the left wing anti-war or stop the war and others against extending the RAF mission into Syria to destroy the Islamic State Terror bases.
here is an example from BBC radio4 Today programme this morning at 08;55 . John Humphrys interviewed BBC security hack Frank Gardner on specific question: will attacks on ISIL in Syria have backlash here in UK and expose us to more attacks like 7/7 type?
Gradenr adamant if we bomb reqqa ISIL would attack london because of the propaganda value – which is at best guess work no fact based analysis. A security military expert interviewed also on the same item refuted Gardner’s guess. He told him it doesn’t mean that attacking ISIL in Syria would some how give the terrorist another means to increase their capabilities and enhance their tools to carry out new attacks more than what they are capable of doing now. He also quoted congress report how USA drone attacks reduced. Alqaeda capabilities to do us harm and carry out more attacks.
Gardener changed the argument to an issue (not mentioned in question) to say a British A british pilot might fall into their hands ( even though pilots are already flying ISIL areas in Iraq) and bombs might hit civilians (although the question was: will attacking reqqa put us in more risk in london )
Pat McFaden Labour, Wolverhampton South East, totally belittled this view as ” children fantasy dividing world into victims (Muslims) and perpetrators (the west) and it absolves the terrorists from responsibility. He argues it is also not a new military intervention, it is an extension of action already taking place .
The Turkmen Tribes who captured the two Russian pilots killed them on the spot instead of handing them over to their Turkish backers. They have been aiding ISIL in smuggling supplies. Russian are fighting Islamic State terror group and attacking supply lines managed by the Turkmen in the area of the borders where the SU24 was shot down . Many questions on the Turkish version of events.
The circle which Our western leaders dont seem to be able to square is: They claim that a US led coalition of 9 nation fighting Islamic State terrorists in Iraq and Syria (without much success) by an air campaign, now Russia is in hitting targets and destroying heavy ISIL weapons, the western leaders are complaining and condemning Russia. In fact Russia has a strategy of preserving Syria geographical integrity as one nation; while western policy ( deliberate or misguided) is tearing Syria apart which Russia sees asagainst its long term interest . America, EU and our UK Government, who have no coherent strategy on Syria ( I am being kind here to the west) ; now Russia, which do have a long term strategy and clear tactical objectives in the short term, decided to take action against the most menacing threat facing civilisation today, namely Islamists terrorism. The Islamic State terrorism which is not confined to the Levant ( Islamic State in Iraq and Levant ISIL) but is a world threat as this entity is modeled on ( and seriously emulating) the seventh and eighth centuries Islamic conquests with the aim of establising a neo-Islamic empire they call a worldwide caliphate, which recognises no national borders ( only idiots won’t realise those objectives especially when they changed the name from ISIL into just “Islamic Stare” ), a danger of Which President Putin has been aware for over a decade. He banned Muslim Bortherhood and other similar organisations who are a front to terrorist groups long time ago, while here in the west we still deal with such vile Islamo-fascist groups. Now Russia is taking genuine action, USA and UK governments are displaying first class hypocrisy as well as making foolish statements. A coalition led by the United States declaring they are fighting the Islamic state by an air campaign for most of this year; yet they are condemning Russia for taking action targeting those very terrorists… so are USA led coalition fighting the terrorists or not?
The astonishing swift success of the Islamic State (or ISIL) – moving from an obscure gang on the run in Iraq to a fully functioning resourceful mini-state within two years- is only matched by our successive governments’ failure in slowing self-recruiting to the Jihadism cause among young British Muslims despite millions of taxpayer money wasted on a new industry: a laughably naive anti-radicalisation programmes.
The astonishing Islamic State terror caliphate advance is getting closer to home, with its latest story continue to receive wall to wall media coverage thanks to the unmasking of the world most wanted terrorist Jihadi john.
President Barak Obama, Prime Minister David Cameron and president François Hollande, blew their trumpets after their bombing campaign in Libya in 2011 in their intervention to overthrow Colonel Mumamer Gaddafi’s rule. a result, Libya is a failed state, and now home to one of the world most notorious terrorists, the Islamic State IS, who, some how managed to land hundreds of brand new Toyota pickup trucks with 33 MM machine-guns mounted, without the American Satellites ( which phonograph every inch of the globe) noticing the shipment, or their landing or movement…. instead of clearing the mess created by the west and aiding Egypt, which started air action against terrorist bases, the Obama administration is finding excuses not to join the fight.
The Islamic State releasing of video showing the sickening burning alive of captured Jordanian pilot Muadh al-Kasasbeh was a calculated move as part of its tactics of psychological warfare; it also present King Abdullah II of Jordan with a rare window of opportunity to take advantage of his subjects’ mood of unity to act militarily with the USA led coalition or unilaterally against this menace. What do IS tactics mean as part of their strategy? and what are King Abdullah’s options?
Our Media coverage was predictable so was our politicians response, playing straight into the hands of the Islamic State IS.. Politicians appeasing Islamists and the media shackled itself by political correctness and appeasing Muslims …Both Missed vital points
Isamic State terrorists suffered major setbacks by air bombardment, their gains in Kurdish mountains were reversed they were stopped from destroying Mosul dam and retreated, they were stopped from overrunning Kobanie on Turkish borders.
The cold blooded murder of the US hostage Peter Kassig ( who converted and took the name Abdul Rahman is sign of frustration, revenge lashing to show their sick supporters their vengeance. There are other reason for his brutality and the timing of releasing the video at this stage:
The Coalition fighting Ismalists Terror group, the Islamic state claimed a major stroke at the weekend with air strike that wounded the group’s leader. But decapitating the leader is a setback for all Islamist terror groups, yet it is not enough to eliminate its danger, and without coherent strategy and ground forces, the terrorists will remain the winners i this game.
The Islamic State, is the most serious threat facing world stability and humanity today, a group of terrorists grew from a few hundreds to about 30-40 thousands, with brutal propaganda attracting the world’s degenerate psychopaths to join, control the area the size of Britain. They have no air force, no outlet to seas thus have no navy, no sophisticated satellite system or high technology intelligence service, no diplomatic mission, no state structure, no facilities to manufacture meaningful arms, yet the mighty USA led Nato, western allies, EU and UK seems unable or unwilling to cognation the danger… questions needed to be asked….do we have strategy to confront this satanic psychopaths …the answer is NO.
On the eve of western Foreign Ministers and their regional allies 30 nations Paris gathering (Monday september 15) to forge strategy to contain Islamic State IS , Prime Minister David Cameron was holding an emergency COBRA ( Cabinet Office Briefing Room A ) meeting, Sunday, at no 10 Downing Street to following the brutal beheading of British aid worker David Haines by IS. Both paris and and London were following a new strategy set by Us president Barak Obama a few days earlier.. but will it work.. doubtful.
