Sworn into office, the keys to power transferred, former President Obama thanked and acknowledged for a ‘magnificent’ transition, President Donald J. Trump brandished a rhetorical cane and set about delivering a verbal spanking to the Washington, DC establishment — much of which was arrayed on the stage behind him, including four of the five living former presidents.
The United States is in an unusual position having so many living former presidents that the booming smack was louder than it might have been. Powerful presidents and leaders who shaped generations sat behind him. President Jimmy Carter, President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Clinton, President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush (President George H W Bush was ill and could not attend) Their expressions could not be held back for all the years of practice and became a news topic. Michelle Obama’s shocked look was most prominent.

In a keenly anticipated speech this morning, Prime Minister Theresa May is expected to formally announce that the United Kingdom is leaving the European Union and will present a strategy to do so. May will respond to critics, who have accused her of lacking a clear strategy for Brexit, by providing more detail than ever before regarding the Government’s plan. This comes as the Chancellor of the Exchequer , Philip Hammond, pledged that the country would do whatever it has to do if the EU attempts to impose tariffs and trade restrictions on the UK when it has left the EU.
President Barak Obama, Prime Minister David Cameron and president François Hollande, blew their trumpets after their bombing campaign in Libya in 2011 in their intervention to overthrow Colonel Mumamer Gaddafi’s rule. a result, Libya is a failed state, and now home to one of the world most notorious terrorists, the Islamic State IS, who, some how managed to land hundreds of brand new Toyota pickup trucks with 33 MM machine-guns mounted, without the American Satellites ( which phonograph every inch of the globe) noticing the shipment, or their landing or movement…. instead of clearing the mess created by the west and aiding Egypt, which started air action against terrorist bases, the Obama administration is finding excuses not to join the fight.
With lack of a coherent strategy by western powers to contain the Islamic State Terror menace, Egypt and Jordan taking initiatives to take war into IS strongholds in Libya and Syria won populist approval as well as western leaders support, but this not enough; a wider world wide strategy and action is called for. It is now evident that the battle against the neo-Islamo-Fascism in the form of the self-proclaimed Islamic State took another twist in the early hours today when Egyptian air-force jets bombed weapons storage, training camps and sites occupied by IS terrorists in neighbouring Libya.
The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant ISIL, one of the most brutal and dangerous terrorist groups in modern times which has captured territory in Iraq and Syria has declared itself an Islamic “caliphate” and called on Islamic factions worldwide to pledge their allegiance. The move is an expansion of the group’s ambitions to wage a war and pose a direct challenge to the central leadership of Al Qaeda, which has already disowned it. In a statement from the group posted on Islamist websites and Twitter, the group has renamed itself “Islamic State” and proclaimed its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as “caliph”, the head of the state. But the grope is not only a threat to the region, it poses a threat to UK national security with hundreds of British Muslims fighting there and will sure come home to cause atrocities here.
In the latest dispute, between Russia and the EU/NATO/USA over Ukraine, which takes us back to the days of the cold war, observers, who covered Africa and the Middle East, notices that in Egypt and several other countries in the region of North Africa and the Middle East, public opinion is siding with Russia not ‘ the west’.
Here Below what Dr Tarel Heggy an Egyptian intellectual, thinker, author and opinion maker, writes about Russia arguing that without Moscow support to Egyptians and Arab peoples, America would have succeeded in implementing its plan for the Middle East to enable the power of darkness, the Muslim Brotherhood to control the region.
Dr Heggy Writes: Russia for me has always been a magical name.
